At Big Truck Rental, we understand what it takes to keep our industry moving forward. A big part of that growth is due to our essential workers. We want to shine some light on those special people who have continued to push through during COVID-19 and all of the hard times that have come with this new normal.
For this week’s Essential Worker Spotlight, we would like to introduce you to Juan Reyes. Juan is the Lead Residential Driver at Orion Waste Solutions in Northwest Arkansas. Get to know more about Juan below!

What Company do you work for, how long have you been there, and what is your title?
- I work for Orion Waste Solutions for 4.5 years now and I am the Lead Residential Driver.

Tell us a little about yourself- family, hobbies, interests, etc.
- I have beautiful wife and three kids, two boys and one girl. In my spare time I like to spend it doing things with my family. I also like to DJ at family gatherings.

What is a typical work day like for you?
- I start the day by getting information for the other drivers and passing out assignments. I go out and pre-trip my truck and head to route. I spend the day picking up residential trash. Sometimes I’ll help out with recycling if they get behind me. I do everything possible to make our customers happy.

What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?
- To get along with and earn the respect of my co-workers. Also, keeping our customers happy.

Have you ever worked on or with a BTR truck? If so, please tell us about your experience.
- Yes, one time. It was the same as my usual truck but right side drive instead of left. It worked out great for what we needed at the time.

Anything else you want to share?
- I like being part of the team here at Orion Waste Solutions. I enjoy being able to work as a team to do our best every day for our customers and each other.
