Position Overview:
Founded in 2002, BTR is a rapidly growing customer-focused organization that is seeking a highly motivated and success-oriented Staff Accountant to assist the Controller and CFO in overseeing and managing financial activities within an organization to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. This role will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. This is an in-the-office job in Tampa, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- At the direction of the Controller, complete the month end close process for the US/Canadian business entities.
- Invoice customers and work with the sales team to ensure collection of accounts receivable.
- Record accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Reconcile the bank and record cash transactions daily.
- Assist in and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Gather and compile documentation and support for various audits throughout the year.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports to the executive team, including management, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with other administrative needs, projects, and other tasks assigned.
- Maintain supporting schedules for the US/Canadian balance sheet accounts, including a fixed assets roll forward schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- 0-3+ years of professional core accounting experience required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Team player that is willing to learn new tasks and curiosity/drive to improve processes
- Superb communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience with general ledger / ERP platforms (Sage Intacct preferred)
- Results-oriented and self-motivated
- Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
