Waste Expo 2018 is officially in the books, and it was a BIG event! The three-day event in Las Vegas celebrated its 50-year anniversary with nearly 14,000 participants, which is a new attendance record for Waste Expo!
This year’s event was very special for the Big Truck Rental family, as Founder and CEO Scott Dols was inducted into the National Waste and Recycling Association Hall of Fame. Scott was honored at a celebratory breakfast on Tuesday. Along with his leadership in Big Truck Rental, Scott has served as both chairman and on the Board of Trustees for the NWRA. Scott was also one of the first contributors to the NWRA Women’s Council in 2005. It was a great honor for Scott to join such an elite group of legends in the industry. We were also excited to celebrate this year’s honorees and their accomplishments over the past year.
Waste Expo gives us a chance to interact with so many great people and have fun doing it. Over the three days of this year’s conference, we had several hundred people stop by the Big Truck Rental booth to chat and share ideas for how we can all grow in the industry. One of the biggest hits during our time at Waste Expo was our slot machine that guests could play. Each day, guests took home a variety of Big Truck Rental gear with a grand prize winner taking home a YETI cooler! We were also very excited to once again donate a 6-month rental truck to the EREF Charitable Auction. We thank Josh Thompson and Waste Industries for being the winner of the 6-month rental. Big Truck Rental is a proud supporter of EREF and is thrilled to help a great cause.
Waste Expo continues to be a great event year after year, and we are proud to be one of the sponsors of the event. We are thankful for another fantastic experience and can’t wait for next year’s edition!
