Position Overview

Founded in 2002, BTR is a rapidly growing customer-focused organization that is seeking a highly motivated and success-oriented Senior Accountant to assist the Controller and VP of Finance in overseeing and managing financial activities within an organization to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. This role will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. This is an in-the-office job in Tampa, Florida. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, to provide an accurate snapshot of the company’s financial health
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement automation and technology solutions when appropriate
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations
  • Gather and compile documentation and support for internal and external auditors for year-end audits
  • Support the preparation and distribution of financial reports to the executive team, management, and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with other administrative needs, projects, and other tasks assigned
  • Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets roll forward schedules, monthly depreciation journal entries, additions and disposals
  • Contribute to the efficient execution of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations within the organization 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of professional core accounting experience required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Team player that is willing to learn new tasks and curiosity/drive to improve processes
  • Superb communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience with general ledger / ERP platforms (Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
